Deliciously spiced Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bread swirled with a rich cream cheese filling, perfect for fall baking or any time of year.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- not pumpkin pie filling
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, egg, brown sugar, oil, sour cream, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, egg, granulated sugar, and flour until smooth to create the cream cheese filling.
- Pour half of the pumpkin batter into the prepared loaf pan, followed by the cream cheese filling, and then the remaining pumpkin batter on top.
- Swirl the batter lightly with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top before baking. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
