  • 3 heads garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread
  • ½ cup butter
  • softened
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Slice the tops off the garlic heads, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for about 30 minutes until soft.
  3. While the garlic is roasting, slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
