- 100 grams sourdough starter
- 80 grams water
- 100 grams plain Greek yogurt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 350 grams all-purpose flour
- 40 grams butter melted
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 50 grams butter softened
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon powder

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, water, Greek yogurt, egg, and sugar. Mix well until smooth.
- Add the all-purpose flour, melted butter, and salt to the mixture and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a separate bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon powder to create the filling.
- Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other to form a log. Slice the log into equal pieces.
- Twist each slice and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the twisted slices rise for another 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, drizzle with cream cheese frosting and sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.
Notes
For best results, use a bubbly sourdough starter. Adjust the baking time slightly depending on your oven for perfect doneness.
