- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 2 medium ripe pears peeled and diced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cardamom.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced pears.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added texture, consider adding chopped nuts or oats to the batter. These muffins can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
