- 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla or white cake mix

- 1 cup strawberry frosting
- 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies or graham crackers
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 16 oz pink candy melts or pink chocolate coating
- 2 tbsp coconut oil or shortening
- 4–6 oz white chocolate or white candy melts
- crushed freeze-dried strawberries
- pink sanding sugar or sprinkles
- optional: edible gold leaf
- gold stars
- or pearl dust
Instructions
- Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to the package instructions, then allow it to cool completely.
- In a large bowl, crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs.
- Add the strawberry frosting, crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers, and crushed freeze-dried strawberries to the cake crumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet. Freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the pink candy melts and coconut oil. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted pink chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then return them to the baking sheet.
- Drizzle with melted white chocolate and sprinkle with crushed freeze-dried strawberries and sanding sugar for decoration.
- Optional: add edible gold leaf or sprinkles for an extra fancy touch.
