Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, vanilla extract, salt, butter, and egg to the yeast mixture; knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- To make the crumb topping, combine butter, sugar, and flour in a bowl; mix until crumbly.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan.
- Once the dough has risen, spread it into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the dough, then brush with milk or water.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown; let cool slightly before serving.
