Description
Flaky, golden crescent rolls filled with savory or sweet fillings. These versatile rolls are quick to prepare, making them perfect for snacks, appetizers, or even dessert.
Ingredients
1 (8 oz / 226 g) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
½ cup (60 g) shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
½ cup (60 g) diced cooked ham, turkey, or chicken (optional)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried parsley (optional)
Sweet Options:
¼ cup (80 g) fruit preserves (raspberry, strawberry, apricot)
½ cup (85 g) chocolate chips or Nutella
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
Place 1 spoonful of filling (cheese, ham, or sweet option) at the wide end of each triangle.
Roll dough toward the tip, tucking in the sides to seal filling. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush over rolls (or use plain butter for sweet versions).
Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Cool slightly before serving. For sweet versions, dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Avoid overstuffing to prevent leaks.
For savory versions, serve with dips like marinara or ranch.
Sweet rolls pair well with coffee or tea.
Freeze baked rolls for up to 1 month and reheat before serving.
