- 1lb. ground beef
- 1 ½ tablespoon taco seasoning mix
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup salsa con queso
- 3 8-inch flour tortillas or corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend or cheddar cheese
- Sour cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the skillet, stirring well. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer one tortilla, half the beef mixture, half the salsa con queso, and a third of the cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Top with the final tortilla and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with sour cream.
