- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 small onion

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and any optional seasonings. Stir until well combined.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the beef mixture evenly on the bottom.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese, arranging them in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
