Description

This easy pulled chicken recipe makes the best crockpot BBQ chicken, perfect for sandwiches or sliders.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chicken and place it in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve on buns, in tacos, or on a bed of rice, as desired.

Notes

For less sweetness, reduce honey to 1/8 cup or omit it entirely. Serve with coleslaw for added crunch.
