Instructions
- Prepare the levain by mixing the starter, flour, and water, and let it sit overnight or for about 12 hours.
- In a large bowl, combine the prepared levain, whole milk, melted butter, and granulated sugar, mixing well.
- Gradually add the bread flour and salt, kneading to form a soft dough.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 to 2 hours.
- While the dough rises, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small pieces.
- Roll each dough piece into a ball and dip them in the melted butter, then coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Layer the balls in the prepared bundt pan and sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture on top.
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow cooling slightly before inverting onto a plate.
- If desired, mix powdered sugar and milk to create icing and drizzle over the top before serving.
