- 6 oz clear rum
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 4 oz blood orange juice
- 6 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz cherry simple syrup
- 1 ⅓ cups (300 grams/11 ounces) cherries halved and pitted
- 1 oz water
- ¼ cup sugar (granulated or turbinado)
- 2 Fresh Cherries divided between each drink
- 2 oz Vanilla Whipped Cream divided between each drink optional
Instructions
- To prepare the cherry simple syrup, combine the pitted cherries, water, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool before straining to separate the syrup from the cherries.
- In a shaker, combine the clear rum, orange liqueur, blood orange juice, pineapple juice, and 2 oz of the cherry simple syrup.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into four glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish each drink with fresh cherries and, if desired, a dollop of vanilla whipped cream on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical paradise in a glass!
Notes
For a sweeter cocktail, adjust the amount of cherry simple syrup to your preference. You can also add extra fresh fruit for garnish.
