  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A thick, refreshing, and nutrient-packed smoothie bowl made from an antioxidant-rich acai base blended with frozen fruits. Topped with fresh banana, berries, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of honey, this bowl brings a vibrant taste of paradise to your breakfast or snack routine.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Acai Smoothie Base:

  • 1 packet (3.5 oz / 100g) unsweetened frozen acai berry puree (slightly thawed under warm water for 10 seconds)

  • 1 large frozen banana

  • ½ cup frozen mixed berries (such as strawberries or blueberries)

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or coconut water/milk of choice)

  • 1 tbsp honey or agave nectar (optional, for added sweetness)

For the Toppings:

  • ¼ cup crisp granola (gluten-free, if desired)

  • ¼ cup fresh strawberries, sliced

  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 1 tsp chia seeds or flaxseeds

  • Drizzle of honey or nut butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Blender: Break the frozen acai packet into smaller pieces and add it to a high-speed blender along with the frozen banana, frozen berries, and almond milk (or liquid of choice).

  2. Blend Until Thick: Blend on low speed, using the tamper tool (or stopping to scrape down the sides as needed) to push the frozen fruit into the blades. Blend until completely smooth, thick, and scoopable—it should have the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. Add an extra splash of liquid only if necessary.

  3. Assemble the Bowl: Pour and spoon the thick acai mixture into a serving bowl, smoothing out the top with a spatula.

  4. Add Toppings: Artfully arrange the granola, sliced fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, coconut flakes, and chia seeds across the top of the acai base.

  5. Finish & Serve: Drizzle with honey or a spoon of nut butter if desired, and serve immediately with a spoon.

Notes

  • Keep It Thick: Using strictly frozen fruits and minimal liquid is the key to achieving a thick, spoonable base that supports the weight of the heavy toppings.

  • Meal Prep / Freezer Pack: Pre-portion your banana and frozen berries into freezer bags so you can quickly blend your bowl in minutes.

  • Customization Options:

    • Protein Boost: Add 1 scoop of plant-based protein powder or a tablespoon of peanut/almond butter directly into the blender.

    • Vegan Adaptation: Use agave nectar or maple syrup instead of honey.
