  • 1/2 C (60g) Sugar
  • 1/2 C (60g) Brown Sugar
  • 1 C (226g) Butter
  • melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • plus one for egg wash
  • 1 Tbsp (14g) Vanilla
  • 1 C (224g) Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 C (56g) Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 unbaked Pie Shell
  • room temperature

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a pie dish with the unbaked pie shell.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the flour, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the pie shell and spread it out evenly.
  6. Beat the additional egg and brush it over the edges of the pie crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
