Description

This Baked Spaghetti recipe combines classic flavors into a comforting dish that’s perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • chopped
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • melted
  • 2 cups small curd cottage cheese
  • 5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions; drain well.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is fully cooked; drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, cottage cheese, and 3 cups of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Add the drained spaghetti to the cheese mixture; mix well.
  7. Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with half of the meat sauce, then repeat the layers.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
